BIT is the Information Systems area of Sonae MC. A group of people who live for the business and technology breakthroughs, creating fast, cohesive management and decision tools.


We are looking for a TOOLS & MONITORING ENGINEER to join our OPERATIONS TEAM at BIT.


Reporting to the Area Coordinator, the Tools & Monitoring Engineer mission's is to manage these technological platforms to provide monitoring on our infrastructure and business support applications.


WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY…

  • Manage and Support monitoring platforms keeping their good work and roadmap updates;
  • Maintain the proper functioning of the central monitoring console and its alert management;
  • Development of integrations with 3rd party applications for alert delivering. Clearly establish monitoring standards with all teams in the organization;
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices for data collection in observation tools;
  • Maximize the company's knowledge by implementing best practices or monitoring systems capable of overcoming possible gaps in current environments;
  • Ensure implementation of automatisms, whenever possible, in order to reduce the toil in repetitive tasks.


WHAT MAKES YOU THE ONE…

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or similar;
  • Minimum experience of 4/5 years in similar functions;
  • Good knowledge in infrastructure management (Windows/Linux/Cloud);
  • Knowledge in virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V);
  • Network management knowledge;
  • Experience in database management (MSSQL, Oracle);
  • Knowledge in Windows Server administration tools;
  • Knowledge in REST, SOAP and API integrations;
  • Experience with Powershell, javascript (Selenium WebDriverJS), shell script and others;
  • High sense of responsibility and autonomy;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Fluent in English (Spoken and written).

Must have:

  • Experience in observational platforms (New Relic);
  • Experience in monitoring tools (SCOM, CA Nimsoft, CA Spectrum, Prometheus and Grafana);
  • Experience in service/alert management platform (CA SOI);
  • Experience in automation platforms (SC Orchestrator, CA IT PAM).
